Where we serve
The
work we do as Felician Sisters today springs from the passion of our
foundress, Blessed Mary Angela. Inspired by her many
accomplishments,
we strive each day to do all we can to help those we encounter who
are most in need. An integral part of our mission is to provide a sound
academic
and spiritual education to as many young people as we can. We also
provide special education to those who are disabled, emotionally troubled
or who have
special needs. One of our treasured ministries
in education is reaching out to those in foster care, helping them to
grow
up knowing they are well loved and ready to take on the world. We are
so grateful when we are able to place these special children with caring
families, especially when brothers and sisters can be placed together
in one loving home.

In response to those we serve who are recovering from
illness or emotional trauma, we provide care and companionship, helping
them with their
problems and praying with them as they find solace in a loving God.
It is our
joy as well to spend time with the elderly and with those who feel
lonely or forgotten by their families. Many times on the path God
has led us
to, we are called upon to help those who have lost their way, becoming
involved in crime or who suffer from addiction. As they struggle
to find their way back, we do all we can to support their efforts and
pray that
they have the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

As religious women dedicated to service in the church
today, we feel grateful to be gifted by God with a call to all of these
ministries.
The work can be challenging to be sure, but it is essential and rewarding.
We would not want any other life. You can feel in your heart the
importance of what we have committed our lives to in the smile of a child
sounding
out her first word, the rich stories shared by an elderly man grateful
to have someone to talk with, the look on the face of a young man
in a detention center as he realizes for the first time that someone
truly
cares what happens to him. These are some of the many gifts we receive
as we strive to help others find their God given gifts.
